The Senior Employment Service offers a variety of free services to adults 55 and older who are looking for a job but need some extra assistance.

Services include:

  • Job search assistance
  • Individualized job counseling
  • Interview skill building
  • Resume and cover letter writing
  • Job referrals
  • Seniors Seeking Employment workshops
  • Semiannual job fairs (May & October)

Job Fairs

Senior Employment Service Job Fairs are held twice a year in May and October. These fairs highlight jobs of special interest to older adults and feature employers who know the value of hiring an older worker. Attending the job fairs is a good way to see what types of employment opportunities are available, learn more about what interests you, and build your networking skills.

Individualized Job Counseling

Any older adult seeking employment is welcome to meet privately with Senior Employment Service staff to discuss job search concerns, self-confidence, the impact of job loss, coping strategies, and other challenges that may affect their ability to find work.
