About Project LIVE

Project LIVE (Living Independently Through Volunteer Efforts) provides case management services to adults age 60 and older, helping them remain independent in their homes for as long as possible.

Case managers begin with an in-home assessment to identify each individual’s strengths and challenges. From this, they create a personalized care plan that outlines goals and responsibilities for both the case manager and the older adult. Working closely with the individual—and family members when appropriate—case managers connect clients to community resources and ensure ongoing support.

In addition, Project LIVE offers limited financial assistance for essential minor home repairs or safety modifications that promote safety and independence.

Volunteers are the heart of Project LIVE!

We welcome individuals and groups to lend a hand with minor home repairs, house cleaning, decluttering, and other helpful tasks. No special skills or prior experience are needed—just a willingness to help.

Volunteering is flexible, with no minimum time commitment. You can set your own schedule, including evenings or weekends. If you’re interested in making a difference, we’d love to hear from you! Call (865) 524-2786 or email knoxooa@knoxseniors.org.
