About The Daily Living Center
The Daily Living Center, operated by the CAC Office on Aging, is a licensed adult day services program offering community-based support for adults age 60 and older who benefit from a structured daytime setting. The program’s mission is to foster independence, strengthen daily living skills, and promote meaningful social interaction—supporting individuals in staying in their homes and communities for as long as possible.
Eligibility
To qualify to attend the Daily Living Center, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Knox County, TN resident
- Age 60+
- Capable of independently performing basic self-care activities, including toileting and eating
- Able to adapt to group settings
Referrals for admission can be made by calling the Daily Living Center at (865) 689-8412.
Costs
- $50 per day for private pay
- Additional assistance may be possible for eligible individuals from a third party payer source, including: TennCare Choices and National Family Caregiver Support Program. For information about these programs, contact the East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability at (866) 836-6678.
