Foster Grandparent Program

About The Foster Grandparent Program

Since 1976, the Foster Grandparent Program has provided one-on-one mentoring and nurturing to children who need extra support in local schools, pre-schools, and after-school programs.

The Foster Grandparent Program is a mentorship program, not part of the foster care system.

Foster Grandparents are volunteers age 55+ serving students who need extra support in the classroom. Make a difference in a young life! AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who serve with the Foster Grandparent Program provide the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future. Volunteers report better health and longevity having served their community.

Volunteer your time and earn a small stipend (based on income requirements)!
