Provides emergent crisis intervention case management and other services to older and vulnerable adults (60+) and vulnerable adults (18-59), who are victims of an alleged crime. Available services and support include assisting clients with unmet crime-related needs and stabilization after victimization. Referrals can come from professionals or the community. A service of McNabb Center – 24-hour crisis hotline for victims of domestic violence to access safety planning and information about emergency shelter and support groups. Place of refuge for those experiencing domestic violence and their children. On-site counseling, advocacy, and case management.

Legal Aid of East Tennessee

Provides contract review services for issues such as home repairs, landlord/tenant disputes, and car purchases. Adults age 60 and older can receive free legal consultations, with legal representation available for low-income clients in qualifying consumer cases. Free legal assistance is also available for individuals 60+ who have experienced abuse or exploitation—whether by a caregiver, relative, neighbor, contractor, or business. Victims or their power of attorney may request services. Consultations are offered at senior centers and other sites throughout Knox County. Additional support includes help with medical insurance matters like Medicaid/TennCare and Medicare. Call to apply.

Provides a variety of services for women of all ages, such as recreation, informal education, and exercise classes.
