Power of the Purse
Mark your calendar for the most exciting fundraiser of the year! Power of the Purse, purse sale, jewelry sale, and auction, is being held on September 20 at Rothchilds Event Center in Knoxville.
“Purse Madness” offers a beautiful array of donated purses in a wide range of prices, evening bags, and a jewelry corner and accessories all for sale to benefit Knox County Mobile Meals. Highlights include exciting auction packages anchored by some of our best designer purses and a “VIP (Very Important Purses)” corner featuring handbags donated by local businesses and well-known personalities.
Doors open to the main ballroom at 5 pm to view and bid on auction items, find your seat, and socialize. Entry into the Purse Madness sale will be at 6 pm sharp. Early bird tickets are available for $40 for individuals or $375 for a table of 10 through August 20th. After August 20th, tickets are $50. Ticket sales end on September 17. Tickets are not available at the door. Price includes one free drink ticket, light dinner fare, and of course, admission into the Purse Madness room with hundreds of deals.
Mobile Meals is actively seeking community sponsors for this event. If your business is interested we would love to partner with you. Donation of purses and auction items are also needed. Power of the Purse allows Mobile Meals the opportunity to reach many new supporters, meal recipients, volunteers, and community advocates. Last year’s event raised enough funds to feed 50 seniors for an entire year (13,000 meals) with more than 400 people in attendance. We expect 2018 to surpass these numbers. The number of clients receiving Mobile Meals is greater than the federal funds received by the program. Without the funds raised from Power of Purse, we would not be able to serve these seniors in need in our community.
