Put on your dancin’ shoes and shake off winter’s chill at an upcoming benefit helping homebound seniors!
Experience the first /Snowflake Ball/, featuring the Brad Walker
Orchestra,/ Saturday, January 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Kerbela
Temple, 315 Mimosa Avenue. Tickets are $10 for this black-tie-optional
event.
Proceeds go to the Senior Companion Program. A Senior Companion
provides help in the home for a frail, homebound person at no charge.
Demand for Senior Companions is exceeding supply. A Senior Companion
must meet certain income guidelines, and they receive a very modest stipend.
Community support, such as through this event, allows the program to
train and place more Companions with those in need.
To purchase tickets, please call (865) 541-4500.
