Errand Services

Errand services provide transportation, grocery or other shopping, meal delivery, and other essential errands. Some agencies provide for low or no cost, but there may be eligibility requirements. See "Food & Nutrition," "Homemakers, Sitters & In-Home Services," and "Transportation" for information about those agencies. Some case management programs offer errand services, or assisted transportation, to their clients.

Private companies also provide these services for a fee. Prices vary. For meal delivery, many restaurants and caterers deliver, as well as independent companies that will deliver from a wide variety of restaurants, see Caterers and Restaurants in the phone book yellow pages. Call Senior Citizens Information & Referral Service, 546-6262, for a list of errand services.
