The following companies are licensed by the state of Tennessee as home medical equipment (HME) suppliers. (HME is also called durable medical equipment, or DME.) The companies listed here are full-service HME suppliers (in other words, they offer a range of equipment and supplies rather than specializing in just one or two specific products or conditions), they carry products often used by seniors, and they have a store or location that is open to the public. They bill Medicare, TennCare, and private insurance directly for the customer. Call Medicare at 1-800-633-4227 if you have questions about Medicare’s coverage of home (or durable) medical equipment.
