Education
Tennessee state law requires that all state-funded educational institutions (like the University of Tennesseee and community colleges) allow all persons age 60+ or persons of any age who are permanently and totally disabled to audit courses for free on a space-available basis (physician certification or affidavit of disability may be required). When these persons take courses for credit, the fees are sometimes reduced.
